Welcome to York Stage School​
York's award-winning Stage School ​
​
York Stage School, has been running in the city for five years and we couldn't be prouder of the students who have worked with our team of industry professional tutors over that time. We are unique as we are not governed by a chain as a franchise and therefore we are able to adapt our classes and training for the individual, allowing them to discover what makes them special as a creative in order to succeed and grow!

As a local independent business, York Stage School offers weekly Acting, Singing, Musical Theatre and Dance classes to students from our studios at Theatre@41, Monkgate.
​
Our team of tutors are all professionally trained and continue to work within the industry, meaning the training your child receives is up to date, relevant and of the highest standards. Alongside our renowned two hour Stage School classes we also offer LAMDA, Jazz, Ballet and Tap dance classes for ages 7+
​
For our younger RISING STARS, we offer our Yorkie Puds baby and toddler classes as well as dance classes for toddlers and kids.

HOW TO JOIN US
We appreciate that joining a Stage School may be a big step for your child and we aim to ensure all children feel welcomed and part of the York Stage family from the very moment they join us in class.
With no obligation your child can join us for their first class and then decide
whether York Stage School is the right fit for them, although we're confident that they will love our classes.
JOINING US COULDN'T BE EASIER AND HERE'S HOW...
Take a look at our variety of classes within our menu bar at the top of this page and select the classes you wish to enrol your child on.
Click the 'Sign up now' button, complete the registration form and you will then receive an automatic email confirming that your registration has been successful.
Once a place becomes available for your child (if there isn't one available straight away) we will be in touch via email to confirm a start date and instructions for the deposit payment will follow.
On the day of your child's first class we ask that you drop them at the front door of our studios within Theatre @ 41 Monkgate where a York Stage School Tutor will welcome them and sign them in for class. We ask that students bring a water bottle and wear plain black, grey or purple clothing.
Following your child's first class, we will contact you via email to which you can confirm their place for the full term.
